This Privacy Policy describes how the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you access or use the Home Base mobile application and website located at https://homebasecyfd.goodbarber.app (collectively, “Home Base”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your data is handled, particularly in alignment with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and other applicable privacy regulations.

CYFD may collect the following categories of personal information:

We do not collect or store financial or payment-related data through Home Base.

Your data is securely stored on encrypted servers located in France (Europe), via our application platform provider.

Data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above. After that period, personal information is deleted using secure methods in compliance with data protection laws.

We may send informational updates related to CYFD programs or Home Base features. You may opt out at any time by contacting us at:

Home Base is designed to facilitate communication and support among CYFD staff, foster/resource parents, and caregivers. No features are designed to collect information directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided personal data without appropriate guardian consent, we will delete such data immediately.

Home Base may use cookies and local storage to:

Maintain session state and login functionality
Track aggregated user behavior for performance improvement

You can set your browser or device to reject or delete cookies, though this may affect functionality.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

Home Base may contain links to external websites (e.g., training modules, resources). This Privacy Policy applies only to CYFD’s services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.
